Wingstop makes plans for second store

The owners of Wing-Stop, a chicken wing franchise that opened on Gage Boulevard last summer are looking to spread their wings in Pasco.
Dave Tuthill, one of five partners that own the Wing-Stop franchise at 121 Gage Blvd., said he are looking at several spots in Road 68 area for a second location.
“Nothing is locked in place yet, though,” he added.
Tuthill said business has been steady at the Richland location, which opened in July and the local favorite wing flavors appear to be Wing-Stop’s original hot wings and the garlic parmesan.
“But the hickory smoke and barbecue are popular, too,” he added.
The restaurant offers nine flavors of chicken wings plus sides, like fries, cole slaw, potato salad, and barbecued beans. Customers can chase it all down with a cold beer.
Tuthill graduated from Kennewick High School in 1987 and returned to the Tri-Cities about three years ago. His franchise partners include his father, Harry Tuthill; brother, J.R. Tuthill; his brother-in-law, Jeff Bacon; and a family friend, Jason Leone.
Tuthill said the group hopes to make a decision about where to site the new restaurant within a month.
“We’d like to be open by the end of June and have our grand opening on the Fourth of July, to tie into the one-year anniversary of this store,” he said.
Wing-Stop is at 121 Gage Blvd. in Richland. The phone number is 737-9464 and the Web site is www.wingstop.com.
