Construction is complete on the new Columbia Rheumatology building at 6710 W. Okanogan Place in Kennewick.
G2 Construction of Kennewick was the general contractor on the 12,800-sq.-ft. building that will house Dr. Derek Peacock’s rheumatology practice.
The new building, at 6710 W. Okanogan Place in Kennewick, will have 20 exam rooms, compared to the current six, allowing the practice to bring in more providers. It will also have an infusion suite capable of handling up to 17 patients, and an on-site laboratory. The facility will also offer space for Peacock’s other business, Apex Clinical Research, which does clinical research trials, mostly related to new drugs being tested to treat rheumatological disorders.
The new building, designed by Ed Luebben at Meier Archtecture•Engineering in Kennewick, has large windows to make the most of the natural light and it is finished in natural rock with neutral color. Low-maintenance landscaping complements the building.
