A new Les Schwab Tire Center will soon be popping up in Richland.
Dirt is already being cleared for the new store at 2825 Queensgate Drive, in front of Petco, and the tire center is expected to open its doors in October.
“Residents of the Tri-Cities area are familiar with Les Schwab and we are pleased there is a growing demand for our outstanding customer service,” said John Britton, president of Les Schwab Tire Centers. “This is our sixth store in the Tri-Cities area and 114th store in Washington.”
Vandervert Construction Inc. is the general contractor on the $1.3 million project. Once complete, the 11,000-sq.-ft. building will have six service bays. The business will offer a wide selection of tires in various prices. The tire center will also sell and provide service for brakes, alignments, shocks, struts and batteries.
“Our goal is to get customers back on the road quickly and safely,” Britton said.
The company plans to hire 10 to 15 employees from the Tri-Cities and experienced store managers and assistant managers will be selected based on the company’s promote-from-within policy.
The company’s other Les Schwab locations throughout the Tri-Cities will remain open.
Les Schwab Tire Centers has more than 400 locations throughout Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, California, Nevada and Utah. To learn more about the company visit www.lesschwab.com.
