The Commons provide more housing options in north Richland

Located in the Tri-Cities Research District, the Commons at Innovation Center aims to provide for the ongoing needs of housing as the Tri-Cities continues to grow. 

The $18 million complex at 2894 Salk Ave. in Richland features a contemporary design featuring ultra-modern amenities with 150 units, including studio, one- and two- bedroom apartment homes.  

The complex is ideal for people who work in the Hanford area or related industries, according to Commons officials.

The units feature keyless entries, secured interior buildings, a great room concept with nine-foot high ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows and slider doors, black appliance packages, granite countertops, central heat and air, luxury vinyl flooring.  

The complex also offers a state-of-the-art fitness center, pool, jacuzzi, dog park and two soccer complexes.

Starting monthly rents depend upon apartment amenities and views. 

Studios are 369 square feet, one bedrooms are 655 square feet, and two-bedrooms are 934 square feet.  

Studios range from $900 to $950 a month; one-bedrooms, $1,100 to $1,150; and two bedrooms, $1,200 to $1,250. 

Move-in specials are offered with two weeks of free rent for every six months signed up to 24 months and two months of free rent.

Fowler General Construction of Richland is the general contractor.

 Cameron Boffey is the project manager overseeing the project.

The architect is Portland-based TVA Architects. Tim Wybenga is the principal.

The Commons is managed by Prodigy Property Management of Spokane which has a satellite office in Richland.
