Comfort Suites Kennewick at Southridge

Hospitality Associates of Spokane has built a four-story 94-room hotel through a subsidiary, Southridge Innvestments.

The hotel carries the Comfort Suites flag and was set to open April 1, but was delayed by efforts to stem the spread of coronavirus, which causes COVID-19

May 30 is the tentative opening date, according to its online booking site.

The project was originally envisioned at Southridge over a decade ago. Although permits were issued, work never began and it changed owners several times before Hospitality Associates stepped in.

The Comfort Suites brand is owned by Choice Hotels International and serves price-conscious leisure and commercial travelers.

The $6.5 million project was built by MALBCO, the construction arm of Hospitality Associates.

Peak Contractors Inc. of Kennewick was the managing partner on the project.
