1st Annual Pie Auction Fundraiser
March 29 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm$15.00
The Richland Seniors Association (RSA) First Annual Pie Auction benefiting financially-limited Tri-City seniors in need of hearing aids
will take place at the United Way of Benton & Franklin Counties, 401 N Young St, Kennewick, WA on March 29, 2020 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm. Attendees will pay a $15 admission donation entitling them to free slices of homemade pies, ice cream, and a beverage. The pièces de résistance will be the opportunity to bid on pies donated by professional sponsors.
This event is the first fundraiser for the RSA Sound Barrier Initiative (SBI). The RSA has committed an initial contribution of $1,000 of its own funds toward a goal of $15,000 to help medically-qualified and financially-limited seniors obtain quality hearing aids. In association with Columbia Basin Hearing Center and the international nonprofit Starkey Hearing Foundation, medically and financially-qualified seniors may obtain quality hearing aids for $250 a pair. However, even this sum can be impossible for many seniors to afford. Over 20% of seniors with hearing loss live on incomes considered by the U.S. government too low to afford hearing aids. The RSA SBI will step in to provide that money for those people.
Please come out to this fundraiser. Your attendance will benefit many in our community and demonstrate your support of a significant segment of our population. Also, if you would like to contribute a pie or three, that would be most appreciated. Please become a part of this important mission. Contact Sharon Feser at email@example.com or (509) 380-8437 to purchase your tickets online and confirm your attendance and/or sign up to contribute pie.
