The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reports seniors 65-plus have the highest increase in the rate of death by suicide in the United States from 2021 to 2022. The suicide rate for teens and young adults dropped by more than eight percent, perhaps as a result of the extra attention given to that age group due to Covid-19.
