Support, Advocacy, & Resource Center-Clothesline Project
April 6 - April 17
Public Service Announcement
The Support, Advocacy & Resource Center (SARC) is planning a variety of activities to raise awareness and to show support to crime victims/survivors in April as part of:
Sexual Assault Awareness Month, Child Abuse Prevention Month, and Crime Victims’ Rights Week.
• The Clothesline Project will feature T-shirts decorated by survivors of sexual assault and other crimes, each telling the story of how violence has impacted their life along with other shirts with messages of support. This display is a very powerful visual reminder of how often violence occurs and the effects abuse has on the victim, their family, and our community. The clotheslines will be displayed in the Connell Branch of the Mid-Columbia Library, the Keewaydin Park Branch of the Mid-Columbia Library, the Kennewick Branch of the Mid-Columbia Library, the Pasco Branch of the Mid-Columbia Library, and the Richland Library during April 6th-April 17th.
