Kristina Lord Editor
Kristina Lord has more than 21 years of journalism experience and has been editor of the Tri-Cities Area Journal of Business and Senior Times since July 2016. She spent more than 17 years at the Tri-City Herald and also worked at weekly newspapers in Prosser, Grandview and Yelm. She’s a longtime member of the Society of Professional Journalists’ William O. Douglas chapter and a board member of Warrior Sisterhood, a Tri-Cities Cancer Center support group. She and her husband have two young daughters and they live in West Richland.
Shawna Dinh Technology & Design Director
Shawna Dinh grew up in the Seattle area and moved to the Tri-Cities in 2009. She joined the Journal of Business in April 2014. Art and design have been a lifelong passion of hers. Shawna earned her bachelor's in graphic design and media arts in July 2018. She lives in West Richland with her husband and dog.
Chad Utecht Advertising Account Manager
Chad Utecht has more than 17 years of sales experience and has been the advertising account manager at the Tri-Cities Areal Journal of Business and Senior Times since October 2016. Chad grew up in the Tri-Cities until moving to Spokane to attend Eastern Washington University. He moved back to the Tri-Cities in 2005. He worked for 15 years at Les Schwab where he learned the value of customer service and two years as sales manager at the Tri-City Regional Chamber of Commerce. He lives in West Richland with his wife and five children.
Marcus Hair General Manager
Marcus Hair is the general manager of the Tri-Cities Area Journal of Business, Senior Times and Focus publications. He has more than 13 years of experience in sales and management. He grew up mainly in the Spokane area, with stints in Montana and Arizona. He is passionate about helping local business owners and managers increase their presence in the marketplace, producing informative products and contributing toward a robust local business community. Marcus, his wife and their blended family—which includes six sons—live both in Richland and Spokane.
Melanie Hair Publisher
Melanie Hair is the founder and publisher of the Tri-Cities Area Journal of Business, Senior Times and Focus publications. She has more than 23 years of sales, management and publishing experience. Melanie has served in a variety of capacities for nonprofits including United Way, TRIDEC, Children’s Developmental Center and Washington Policy Center. She earned a master’s in organizational leadership with an emphasis in servant leadership from Gonzaga University, and a bachelor’s in communication studies with a minor in business from Eastern Washington University. Melanie finds joy collaborating on projects that encourage community. She has called the Tri-Cities home since 1998 and resides in Spokane and Richland with her husband, children and what most would consider way too many canine kids.
