Postal Service plans Dec. 13 job fair in Kennewick

The Postal Service and WorkSource Columbia Basin are hosting a job fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 13.

The hiring event will be at the WorkSource office, 815 N. Kellogg St., Suite, D, in Kennewick. No appointment is necessary. 

Employees will be available to answer questions about benefits, qualifications and applications. Laptops will be available on the day of the event for immediate application submission.

Starting pay varies depending on the job, with the carriers earning between $19 and $20 per hour, paid bi-weekly.

Applicants must be 18 years of age and be able to pass drug screening and a criminal background investigation. In some instances, interested candidates also can be 16 with a high school diploma.


Applicants also must also be available to work weekends and holidays.

Job postings are uploaded every other Tuesday until filled, and postings are updated frequently. The Postal Service said it is continuing to aggressively hire in many locations across the country. With a workforce of more than 635,000, USPS is one of the nation’s largest employers with ongoing attrition needs.
