Event Description

The Richland Police Department (RPD) is pleased to announce its upcoming "National Coffee with a Cop Day" event scheduled for October 2nd , 2024, at the Caterpillar Café location inside the Richland Public Library. This initiative aims to facilitate informal interactions between law enforcement officers and community members in a relaxed and non-intrusive setting.

Coffee with a Cop events offer an excellent opportunity for community members to engage in open and honest conversations with their local police officers. By breaking down barriers a building trust, these interactions help strengthen relationships between law enforcement and the communities they serve.

The event will take place from 9:00AM to 11:00AM and RPD encourages all community members to attend, enjoy a cup of coffee, and engage in meaningful dialogue with Richland law enforcement.

"We know that building strong relationships with the community is essential for effective policing," stated Craig Meidl, Interim Chief of Police for Richland. "Coffee with a Cop is just one of the ways we strive to connect with community members, listen to their feedback, and work together to ensure the safety and well-being of our neighborhoods."
