Event Description

The Richland School District and the Tri-Cities Youth Suicide Prevention Coalition (YSPC) are proud to invite you to the 9th Annual Take Strides Tri-Cities Walk, an event on September 25 dedicated to raising awareness, providing support, and promoting hope for the youth in our community.

The walk begins at 6 p.m. at Fran Rish Stadium in Richland and will follow a route to John Dam Plaza. Speakers will share their stories, offering hope and encouragement to attendees from the HAPO Community Stage. Participants are encouraged to wear yellow to show their solidarity in preventing suicide. The event will conclude with a walk back to Fran Rish Stadium.

Event Highlights:

• First 500 youth participants will receive a free Take Strides shirt

• First 500 youth participants will receive a free dinner ticket (food trucks available)

• Members of the Tri-City Americans Hockey Team will be in attendance

• Live music and performances

• Motivational speakers sharing stories of hope and resilience

• Youth trivia with exciting prizes

• Community vendors with fun swag, including bracelets, sunglasses, stickers, and more

This walk is more than just an event—it's a movement. Let's walk together, strengthen our community, and take strides toward a brighter future for our youth.
