Event Description

Feeding, entertaining and connecting the Tri-Cities since 1977! Christ the King Sausage Fest is a long-standing tradition in Richland. It began as a small school fundraiser and has since grown to be the third largest annual event in the Tri-Cities. In the spirit of an Oktoberfest celebration, this community event transforms the Christ the King Catholic Church parking lots into a small Bavarian village. Each booth hosts either food or games. Family favorites include German sausages, bierrocks, pretzels, pies, funnel cakes and corn. From its inception, ticket prices for games have remained affordable for all families to enjoy visiting and making memories. It’s why admission is always free. The outdoor Biergarten provides an exciting and lively option for those 21 and over to enjoy live music and the company of friends. Throw in bingo, Papa’s Produce, live performances from groups across the region, and friendly volunteers—it is no wonder Sausage Fest has been enjoyed by our community for decades. This legacy is both an honor and challenge for each planning committee to uphold, and it would not be possible without the hundreds of volunteers devoting thousands of hours. Thank you to anyone who has volunteered since the start and we hope to see you beginning the third Friday in September!
