From toddlers taking their first strides to teens sprinting toward the finish line, the IRONKIDSÒ Tri-Cities Fun Run is set for 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, 2025, at Columbia Point Marina Park, 660 Columbia Point Drive in Richland.
The event features three races designed for kids of all ages:
Registration is $28 and includes race entry, bib, T-shirt and finisher medal. Kids may be registered online in advance or up until race morning.
Families and friends are encouraged to line the course to cheer on young athletes and enjoy the community atmosphere, which will also feature vendors.
“The IRONKIDSÒ Fun Run is one of the funnest parts of race weekend,” said Kevin Lewis, President & CEO of Visit Tri-Cities. “It gives our youngest community members their own moment to shine, while connecting families to the energy and excitement that IRONMANÒ brings to the Tri-Cities.”
The IRONKIDSÒ race is part of the IRONMANÒ 70.3Ò Washington Tri-Cities triathlon weekend, which draws athletes and visitors from around the world to southeastern Washington. The inaugural IRONMANÒ 70.3Ò Washington Tri-Cities triathlon in 2024 generated $7 million in economic impact. The event drew nearly 2,500 athletes and 7,500 non-athlete visitors from 45 states and 20 countries. Building on that success, the 2025 IRONKIDSÒ Fun Run and IRONMANÒ race weekend are expected to once again showcase the Tri-Cities as a world-class destination for sports, tourism and community celebration.
