Event Description

Join the Columbia Basin Chapter of the WA Native Plant Society in planting 400 native seedlings. This community led restoration effort will be a continuation of our efforts to restore highly disturbed weedy areas near the Badger Mountain Westgate Trailhead (off Dallas Rd). The native bunchgrass and wildflower seedlings we’ll be planting were grown using locally sourced seed that our chapter collected. All are welcome to join in this planting event! Where: Badger Mountain West Gate Trailhead (trailhead off of Dallas Road), Richland, WA When: Sunday November 16th 1 PM-4 PM Things to note: It can be cold and windy so please dress in warm layers, and sturdy hiking boots. There is a porta potty located at the trailhead. What to bring: Your favorite digging tool, garden gloves, and water recommended. We’ll have a few spare spades on hand just in case. Huge thank you to Friends of Badger Mountain for partnering with us on this planting event! If you can, RSVP to our Restoration Chair Alexis Spencer ([email protected]) if you would like to join us and if you have any questions. (RSVP requested, not required— We hope to see you there!)
