Event Description

Join Rangers Patti, Isidro, and Mary to walk through history at Lyons Ferry State Park on New Year's Day! • Uncover the Ice Age mystery of the Palouse River’s wandering waterfall. • Hear stories of the historic ferry • Discover how the soaring Joso Railroad Trestle Bridge was built. • Learn about wildlife of the shrub steppe. • Toast s’mores and enjoy a hot beverage with friends and family! This easy hike is suitable for all ages, and leashed dogs are welcome. The ground is fairly level, but we will be on grass and gravel pathways as well as walking on trails through natural vegetation. Reservations are not required, but they are appreciated.
