Join the B Reactor Museum Association (BRMA) for an evening with geologist, author, and photographer Bruce Bjornstad as he explores the dramatic story of the Ice Age Floods that shaped the landscape of Eastern Washington. A former geologist with Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, Bjornstad has spent decades studying and documenting the massive Missoula Floods and their lasting impact on the Columbia Basin. His research, aerial photography, and publications have helped bring greater understanding to the formation of the region's unique geological features, including the spectacular Channeled Scablands. Drawing from his book On the Trail of the Ice Age Floods: A Geological Field Guide to the Mid-Columbia Basin, Bjornstad will share the science, history, and visual story of one of the largest flood events known to have occurred on Earth.
