Event Description

You’re invited! Join the Benton Conservation District for an open house at our office location in West Richland. Stop in to learn about what we do! We’ll have information available on programs offered through the conservation district, partner organizations, volunteer opportunities and resources available for farmers, producers and land stewards interested in conservation and stewardship. Activities will include a tour of the newly installed waterwise demonstration garden, a sneak peak of Salmon in the Classroom and opportunity to see the water stargrass harvesting equipment. All are welcome to this free community event! When: Thursday September 24th 4-6 PM Where: Benton Conservation District – 3131 Belmont Blvd West Richland, WA 99353 Schedule of events 4:30 PM - Tour the waterwise demonstration Heritage Garden 5:00 PM - Salmon in the Classroom Sneak Peak 5:30 PM - Tour the Water Stargrass Harvesting Equipment Benton Conservation District is a non-regulatory county agency whose mission is to ‘encourage wise stewardship of all natural resources for residents of Benton County.’ https://www.bentoncd.org/ What is a Conservation District? Conservation districts work on a voluntary basis with landowners, resource managers, and community members to conserve natural resources. Because we all rely on natural resources, conservation district services are intended to benefit everyone.
