Event Description

The “Little Hearts Project” consists of small, wooden figures that represent the 285 children who were interviewed through our Kids Haven program this last fiscal year. SARC will place these wooden figures at the Mid-Columbia Library on Union Street March 29 thru 12th in an effort to raise awareness and give community members a visual reminder of how often child abuse occurs. It is important to understand that child abuse impacts not only the child, but the child’s family, and the community as a whole. Any child could potentially be a victim of child abuse. Through community events and prevention-based education, SARC hopes to limit the amount of abuse that occurs within our community.

SARC would like to invite you to assist in our efforts to raise awareness and help with the “Little Hearts Project”. We rely every year on dedicated community members, members of the SARC board, volunteers, family, and friends to make our Little Hearts Project a success. You are invited to sponsor a “Little Heart” this year for $10 dollars. We also invite you to open this invitation to family, friends, co-workers, acquaintances, etc. All sponsors names will be featured on the “Little Hearts Project” display, their name acknowledged on a poster, and each wooden figure will wear a heart with their sponsor’s name. Hearts will also be displayed on our website and Facebook. Your time and effort in assisting us with the 2024 “Little Hearts Project” is greatly appreciated! Donations can be made through cash, or checks made out to The Support, Advocacy & Resource Center, or through PayPal using the link to Little Hearts Project on our website, www.supportadvocacyresourcecenter.org. If you choose to participate in this community event, we would ask that all sponsorships received by Friday, March 22nd, 2024.
