Kyle LaPierre
An award-winning Tri-Cities builder is the newest member of the Building Industry Association of Washington’s Hall of Fame.
Kyle LaPierre, vice president of LaPierre Enterprises in Kennewick, recently received the honor from the state trade association. With a reputation as a dedicated industry leader locally and at the state level and a commitment to supporting community causes, it is a well-deserved award, building industry members said.
“For over two decades, Kyle LaPierre has been a tireless advocate for the building industry,” said Jeff Losey, executive director of the Home Builders Association of the Tri-Cities (HBATC), in a statement. “His efforts to promote quality and attainable housing have been instrumental in propelling the industry forward.”
Losey said the HBATC board and staff are ecstatic to see his contributions acknowledged in such a meaningful way.
The BIAW Hall of Fame honors those who have made significant and lasting contributions to the association and the homebuilding industry in Washington.
Kyle LaPierre is a second-generation builder, following in his father Duane LaPierre’s footsteps. The elder LaPierre started building in the Tri-Cities in 1959, and was inducted into the BIAW Hall of Fame in 2003.
Kyle LaPierre has had homes featured in the annual Parade of Homes six times and won awards ranging from Best Interior Design and Best Landscape to Realtors Choice and Members Doing Business with Members. The popular annual event showcases the latest in new home construction, architectural trends, design and decor.
Kyle LaPierre has been a board member of HBATC for 30 years and served three terms as president. He’s also held several BIAW leadership roles, including treasurer, first vice president and member of the association’s bylaws and nominations committee. He served as BIAW president in 2009.
HBATC named him Builder of the Year in 2000, 2008 and 2020, and he was BIAW Builder of the Year in 2008.
Beyond his professional achievements, Kyle LaPierre is known for mentoring future industry leaders and championing causes in his community, according to a BIAW release.
“From raising funds for the Wishing Star Foundation – often with the help of baby goats – to securing grants for medical equipment lending programs, Kyle gives generously of his time and heart,” said BIAW Past President Bob Camp in a statement. “He also volunteers with the Carson Kolzig Foundation, Kennewick School District, youth sports and the juvenile justice system.
“Kyle’s contributions continue to shape lives across Washington, making him a worthy and respected addition to the BIAW Hall of Fame,” Camp said.
