New U Women’s Clinic & Aesthetics
What has been your/your company’s most significant success over the last 12 months?
The greatest success our business has achieved over the last 12 months has been moving into our new 12,000-square-foot headquarters, an accomplishment rooted in vision, discipline and long-term belief.
Our second greatest success has been franchising the business. Transitioning from a founder-led operation to a scalable franchise model required structure, systems and trust in the foundation we had built. Franchising represents not just growth, but validation – that our model, culture and standards are strong enough to be replicated while maintaining excellence.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve received?
Stay out of the noise. Stay true to who you are at the heart of the business, keep your head down, and don’t let anyone move you away from your vision.
The second best piece of advice I received when opening New U was to never try to do it alone – to always have people around me who are smarter than me, people who work harder than me, and a strong legal team. Building the right support system has been just as important as having the right idea.
What was your first job, and what did you learn from it?
My first W-2 job was in Dayton, working at Gasoline Alley. Making minimum wage taught me that money is earned, not assumed. It also showed me that working hard expands your choices. It made me want more, not because I was ungrateful, but because I understood what was possible if I kept going.
Name one thing about yourself you want people to know.
One thing I want people to know about me is that I have a servant’s heart. Serving others – both personally and through my business – fills my heart and gives my work purpose. I strive to be a disciple of God and to lead in a way that reflects my faith.
