The state Real Estate Appraiser Commission, part of the Department of Licensing, is seeking two new members. Applicants who meet qualifications have until Nov. 3 to apply for the six-year term.
Commissioners have the chance to help their industry grow, provide advice to the Department of Licensing and may receive compensation.
Members attend quarterly meetings, volunteer to participate in subcommittees, represent the commission to the industry and public, and perform research for both regular and subcommittee meetings.
In subcommittees, members help with special projects, attend listening sessions and other outreach activities, help develop surveys and polls, and work with the department to help reduce barriers to education and licensure.
Applicants must be licensed as a certified residential appraiser for 10 or more years and be actively practicing as a real estate appraiser living and doing business in the state. Military members and their spouses are encouraged to apply.
Applicants should submit a letter of interest, three professional references and a completed application to [email protected].
