Community members have opportunities to get their first look at Pasco’s two newest high schools before the school year starts.

Pasco School District recently announced ribbon cuttings and public tours of Sageview and Orion high schools at 10 a.m. on Aug. 18 and 19, respectively. Both events will feature remarks from school leaders and student performances, according to a release.

Sageview, located at 6091 Burns Road, is Pasco’s third comprehensive high school and will have 1,140 students in grades 9-11 during the 2025-26 school year. It has 299,413 square feet of space and will feature career and technical education (CTE) programming including a signature agriculture program.

Orion at 1901 E. Salt Lake St. is also known as the Career & College Academy and is a small innovative high school that can house up to 600 students. The school is 65,000 square feet and will provide instruction focused on design thinking, career-connected learning and entrepreneurship.

Both schools were paid for with a $195.5 million bond approved by voters in February 2023.
