Passenger counts continue to climb at the Tri-Cities Airport and it is on pace to see more than half a million people pass through its gates for the first time by the end of 2025.
The airport in Pasco has recorded 282,452 enplanements through July, 8% more than was recorded through the first seven months of 2024.
An enplanement is a tally of those boarding a flight at a given airport. It does not include those who only fly into the Tri-Cities but leave the area by other means.
If that trend holds, more than 516,000 people will fly out of the Tri-Cities before Jan. 1, an all-time record for the Tri-Cities Airport. Enplanements have grown steadily since the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020, when the airport recorded just 188,959 passengers.
The airport saw the most growth in passenger counts in the first three months of 2025, with between 10% and 13% per month. April saw the least growth with just 35,505 passengers, 3% more than the same month a year prior.
