Learn how to use artificial intelligence responsibly in the workplace at a Washington State University Tri-Cities’ Cougar Tracks workshop in September.

The three-hour workshop, called “Generative AI Essentials: Workplace Applications & Ethical Use,” will give participants hands-on training using Microsoft Copilot and ChatGPT. Attendees will learn about choosing AI tools, prompt engineering, ethics and AI codes of conduct.

Offered through Cougar Tracks, WSU Tri-Cities’ continuing education and workforce training program, the workshop is open to professionals across many sectors. Professionals and educators wanting to integrate AI into their workplace or classroom, team leaders managing AI-augmented tasks, HR and compliance officers establishing AI policies, and anyone curious about responsible AI use is welcome to register for the workshop.

Neelam Chahlia, senior technical manager at T-Mobile, will lead the workshop. She has experience in software development and large-scale technology implementation, including global cybersecurity initiatives and projects handling $5 billion to $6 billion in monthly transactions.

Chahlia is a recipient of India’s National Young Scientist Award and is often a STEM keynote speaker.

The workshop is set for 9 a.m. Sept. 18 in the Elson S. Floyd Building on the WSU Tri-Cities campus. Registration is $149 and limited seats are available.
