Speakers sought for annual Pasco High career fair

Organizers of Pasco High School’s second annual career fair on Nov. 14 are recruiting speakers for the event.

Each session with students will be 30 minutes and speakers will be accompanied by a host teacher throughout the day. Volunteers should be willing to speak for the full day, but organizers may be able to accommodate special circumstances and half-day schedules on a limited basis.

The career fair runs from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the high school campus at 1108 N. 10th Ave.

Speakers can register through Sept. 29.

More than 120 community members participated in last year’s career fair, representing a wide range of career paths, from research scientists and computer programmers, to police officers, financial advisors and food truck operators.

Pasco High School initiated a four-year “High School and Beyond” portfolio all students will complete to more fully explore post-high school options.
