Two new medical clinics are set to open in the Tri-Cities on Nov. 17. One is the long-planned Pasco clinic of a small Central Washington health care provider, while the other is the first local urgent care clinic from a western Washington health care provider.
Columbia Basin Health Association will soon open its new west Pasco clinic at 7405 Three Rivers Drive, offering medical, dental and pharmacy services. The location is also set to offer vision services next year.
Some of CBHA’s team is already working out of a smaller Pasco facility on Burden Boulevard, and they’ll move over to the new clinic once it is ready to go. The smaller facility will permanently close. Some staff need to be hired still, while others have already been hired on and are currently working at some of CBHA’s other locations, such as Connell, Othello, Mattawa and Royal City. They’ll transition to Pasco once the clinic is open.

|The building will have three different medical suites, and while they’re all built, they will open in stages over the next few months as the clinic gets used to the new rhythm of operations.
The $6.3 million building is about 35,000 square feet, according to building permits filed with the city of Pasco.
Medical services will be open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., and dental services are available from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Indigo Urgent Care, a part of the Tacoma-based MultiCare Health System, is opening its first Tri-Cities clinic in the Queensgate area of Richland. A second location, set for 6821 W. Canal Drive in Kennewick, is expected to open in February 2026.
Melanie Collett, assistant vice president of marketing and communications, said the urgent care provider is expanding to the Tri-Cities because of the need as the community grows.
The Richland clinic, at 3155 Duportail St., will offer in-person and virtual care visits from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily, including holidays. The 2,970-square-foot suite is next door to FiiZ Drinks. A building permit valued at just over $600,000 was issued to improve the shell space earlier this year.
Indigo Urgent Care offers four exam suites for treatment and can often get patients into a room with little need to wait, Collett said.
The clinic is open to walk-ins as well as same- or next-day appointments, and patients who come in person can help themselves to complimentary snacks and beverages, as well as comfort items like ice packs or a warm blanket.
The exam suites feature bench seating for families or for room to lie down, and all Indigo Urgent Care clinics also have X-ray capabilities for same-day imaging.
The team will have at least one provider and about three to four staff members daily, Collett said. All of the staff are medically trained, whether they are an assistant or a radiologic technologist.
The Richland clinic is fully staffed and ready to go, while the Kennewick clinic is still hiring.
The clinic has a testing area to run rapid Covid, flu and strep tests. Medical assistants can get patients started with a swab, and the results are often ready while the provider is seeing the patient so they don’t need to wait, Collett said.
Virtual care options are also available. If symptoms are easy to see or describe over a video call, providers can immediately prescribe the necessary medication, or they can ask patients to go into the clinic to get a test or X-ray without the need to see the provider. The Richland clinic already is offering virtual appointments.
The clinic takes all major insurances and offers self-pay options for those who are uninsured.
The Richland clinic will be Indigo’s 48th clinic in the state, with the closest currently located in Yakima.
Columbia Basin Health Association will soon open its new west Pasco clinic at 7405 Three Rivers Drive, offering medical, dental and pharmacy services. The location is also set to offer vision services next year.
The new clinic will support up to 16 primary care providers and six dental providers, and will start with a total of 48 staff. Blake Barthelmess, vice president of strategy and business solutions for CBHA, said that they’ll end up with a total staff of around 80.
