Two Pasco companies

recently earned statewide manufacturing awards.

The Bogert Group, which is an umbrella for businesses that make military equipment, hydraulic pumps, accessories for recreational boating and small aircraft and a line of jacks for safely lifting heavy equipment, earned a gold award for being an innovator in manufacturing.

The Bogert Group operates as Bogert Aviation Inc., Bogert Manufacturing Inc., dba Safe Jack & Uncle Norm’s Marine Products and Bogert International Inc.

The company received the award in April from Seattle Business Magazine as the2019 Innovator of the Year.

The Bogert companies “keep a fast pace of product development, adding more than one new product a month, and turning an idea into a testing-ready prototype in as little as a week. That’s accomplished by having the 26-person workforce extensively cross-trained,” according to Seattle Business Magazine.

Bogert has grown to more

than $7 million in annual revenue, up 160 percent from the previous year. Net

profits are about 30 percent and the company is debt-free, the magazine

reports.

Pasco Processing LLC

received a silver award for Food

and Beverage Processor of the Year.

The company is part of

the Oregon Potato Co. family of vegetable and fruit processors which also

includes Jamba At Home Smoothies and National Frozen Foods. The company was

recognized for putting its own employees and suppliers through food safety

training and certification.
