Kadlec broke ground on a new $6.1 million primary care clinic at the corner of West Clearwater Avenue and Steptoe Street in Kennewick.

The new 13,600-sq.-ft. Kadlec Clinic West Kennewick Primary Care will provide additional capacity in the area. Jim Hall, Kadlec’s director of government and community relations said the clinic will house internal medicine, family care and pediatrics.

“We currently have a primary care presence in this area, but more is needed to meet the demand in this growing part of Kennewick,” Hall said. Bouten Construction is the general contractor on the new clinic, which is expected to open in about a year. The facility was designed by TGB Architects of Edmonds.

The facility will have 25 treatment rooms, an x-ray area and a laboratory. Hall said initially three doctors will move their practices to the new facility — two family practice physicians: Dr. Shannon Dramis, DO and Dr. Joseph Oro, MD and a nurse practitioner, Tehea Elsethagen, ARNP. Hall added that the clinic has the capacity to house up to nine healthcare providers.
