Kennewick’s waterfront is bathed in holiday spirit thanks to the Port of Kennewick. The port has placed thousands of twinkling lights in the trees along Clover Island Drive and on the Clover Island Lighthouse.

The port also has once again decorated a large pine tree in honor of veterans.

The 86.5-foot tree is next to Clover Island in the port’s Willows Development, and it’s visible from Clover Island Drive and Washington Street. The port has lit the tree in red, white and blue for 15 years “to honor the dedication and sacrifice of those United States men and women who have served their country in military service,” port leaders wrote in a statement.

The veterans’ tree and holiday lights will remain in place through New Year’s Day.
