Washington's lieutenant governor will visit the Tri-Cities on Dec. 19 to talk about his Project for Civic Health and "Common Ground for the Common Good" report. Lt. Gov. Denny Heck also will chat with state Rep. Stephanie Barnard, R-Pasco, about bipartisanship and civility in Olympia.

The event is at 4 p.m. in classroom 121 of the Social Sciences & World Languages Building at Columbia Basin College in Pasco. 

It's kicking off the Tri-Cities Civic Townhall, a series of events over the next year aimed at building civility, community and citizenship.
