The 3 Rivers Community Foundation distributed a record $372,501 in grants to 77 local nonprofits during its annual Celebration of Philanthropy luncheon on Dec. 10 in Kennewick.

Each year, 3RCF invites 501(c)(3) nonprofits serving Benton and Franklin counties to apply for funding beginning in late July. Organizations from a wide range of sectors are encouraged to apply. The 3RCF board then conducts a thorough review process to select grant recipients.

Thanks to strong financial stewardship and the continued support of both new and longtime donors, 3RCF’s grantmaking capacity reached a record high this year.

At the event, CEO Abbey Cameron announced a $10,000 matching donation challenge offered by an anonymous donor. Donors in the room rose to the challenge, ultimately raising more than $12,000 toward 2026 grants.

More than 500 community members attended the event, the largest annual gathering of local nonprofit board members, volunteers and staff, the foundation said.
