What is sponsored content

TCAJOB Staff

By definition, sponsored content, also known as “native content,” is any type of brand-sponsored content that is commissioned or paid to look and feel like a natural piece of a publisher’s website.

For the Tri-Cities Area Journal of Business, sponsored content offers a way to provide our readers valuable insights and education, prepared by our partnering advertisers. This option expands and diversifies voices we can provide to our readers, beyond news content vetted by and curated by our talented news team.

WHAT YOU GET

Your article and photo included on our home page for 1 month, with link to exclusive interior article page. (Limit of 3 advertisers per month.)

  • Your article, photo and web links included on your exclusive interior page for 6 months.
  • A teaser and photo for your article included on a linkable interior page listing all current sponsored content articles for 6 months.
  • Ability to link to your article page (which sits in front of our paywall) from your own site or any email and social marketing you choose to do.
  • Live links within your article to your website, other related content, or YouTube video locations.

THE FINE PRINT

  • You will be responsible for providing a written article between 600 and 800 words, along with a photo or illustration and any needed URL links.
  • Deadline to provide sponsored content article is 7 days prior to the beginning of the month it begins.
  • Before publication on our website, your article will be vetted by the Journal for accuracy and suitability within our mission of serving the business community.
  • You must acknowledge that all sponsored content will be labeled as such and will include a notification at the end of the article that it is paid content and isn’t necessarily endorsed by the Journal of Business.
