Courtesy Benton CountyBenton County officials have released renderings of the planned rebuilding of McDaniel Arena at the Benton County Fairgrounds set to begin immediately after the Benton-Franklin Fair.
The project will use $12 million in local taxes and economic development funds to double the seating capacity to 6,000, install more and larger restrooms, put in new concession stands, upgrade lighting and audiovisual infrastructure, and make the facility accessible for those with limited mobility.
The signature mural on the front of the existing grandstand is being preserved digitally so that it can be incorporated into the new structure.
The revamped arena is expected to be ready for use by next year.
