Agencies and organizations pursuing historic preservation projects or programs in Benton County are encouraged to apply for a grant from the county’s Historical Preservation Fund.

The county is requesting proposals that promote historic preservation or programs in the county. Grant recipients must be government entities or IRS-recognized nonprofit 501(c)(3) entities, be physically located in Benton County and provide services to county residents.

The county established the Historic Preservation Grants program to promote historic preservation or historic programs within the county to increase knowledge and service to residents, and better preserve, exhibit and interpret historic items. It is funded by the Historical Preservation Fund, which was established nearly 20 years ago.

The application window will close at 4 p.m. Nov. 6.

For more information, including the grant application, go to: bentoncountywa.gov/index.php?rz=newsDetails&id=248.
