
A pickleball tournament is poised to bring visitors and a positive economic impact to the Tri-Cities this summer.
Club 509 Pickleball’s 2025 Summer Classic will be held June 19-22 at the Lawrence Scott Park pickleball courts in Kennewick. The event is expected to bring about $200,000 in economic impact to the area, according to Visit Tri-Cities.
The event is the state’s largest organized pickleball tournament on permanent, dedicated pickleball courts. More than 400 participants have registered, and pro-level players from across the nation are among those signed up to participate. Registration is now closed for the tournament.
Thursday, June 19, will feature women’s and men’s doubles, age 50 and over, skills groups, and women’s and men’s open singles. Team play is featured on Friday, June 20, and women’s and men’s doubles skills and open play will be featured Saturday, June 22. Mixed doubles and mixed singles open and skills events will conclude the tournament on Sunday, June 22.
