A commercial builder with a presence in the Tri-Cities was among those recently honored by its peers.

Lydig Construction Inc. took the top spot in the Building Project, $10 Million and Over category of the Build Northwest awards of the Inland Northwest chapter of the Association of General Contractors, according to a release. The awards are aimed at celebrating the hard work, innovation and dedication of the trade organization’s roughly 400 members.

“These winners represent the very best of what our industry has to offer, showcasing exceptional craftsmanship, innovation, and teamwork,” the association wrote in a statement.

Lydig maintains an office in Kennewick as well as in Spokane and Bellevue.

The company’s projects in and around the Tri-Cities include the Wine Science Center at Washington State University Tri-Cities; Columbia Basin College’s Student Recreation Center; renovations of Franklin County’s courthouse and Justice Center; the expansion of Coyote Ridge Corrections Center in Connell; Three Rivers Convention Center and the Physical Sciences facility at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory.
