The 25,000-square foot store, announced in March, will open at 9 a.m. Nov. 5, according to an announcement from the retailer. Crews continue to work on the long-awaited new store, located in the Tri-Cities Center at 7411 W. Canal Drive with retail neighbors Craft Warehouse, Burlington and Dollar Tree, across from Columbia Center mall.
Shoppers are invited to come to the store beginning at 8 a.m. opening day “for music, surprises and more,” according to a release, including the opportunity to win a $1,000 Nordstrom Rack Gift card.
And if you’re quick enough now, you can even get a sneak peek inside two days before the opening; the store will hold a pre-opening shopping party from 4-8 p.m. Nov. 3 for those who register for one of the limited spots its making available.
Nordstrom Rack is the off-price retail division of Nordstrom Inc. and offers customers up to 70% off apparel, accessories, beauty products, home decor and shoes from many of the top brands sold at Nordstrom stores. Nordstrom Rack is the largest source of new customers to Nordstrom, according to the company.
A Tri-Cities Area Journal of Business poll in the spring showed there is already strong local interest in securing a Nordstrom Rack. The informal poll asked readers which businesses they’d most like to see come to the Tri-Cities. Nordstrom Rack ranked No. 5 on the list of most-wanted businesses, behind Trader Joe’s, In-N-Out Burger, a preference for more locally-owned businesses and IKEA.
