Washington State University fans will still be able to watch their Cougs on the field and court via national broadcaster CBS and its various platforms.

The Pac-12 conference, which only includes WSU and Oregon State University for the coming 2025-26 season, and CBS Sports have extended their partnership for the next season, according to a release. While the deal makes CBS Sports the conference’s primary media partner, other partners are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.

Among notable aspects of the deal, it guarantees:

  • Annual football championship game on CBS and streamed live on Paramount+.
  • Annual men’s basketball tournament championship game on CBS and Paramount+.
  • A minimum of three regular season football games on CBS and Paramount+ each season.
  • A minimum of three regular season men's basketball games on CBS and Paramount+ each season.
  • Football and men's basketball games throughout the regular season on CBS Sports Network, with details to be announced at a later date.

Six other universities will join the conference beginning in the 2026-27 season: Boise State University, California State University at Fresno, Colorado State University, Gonzaga University, San Diego State University and Utah State University.

“The new Pac-12 is innovative and entrepreneurial, and this partnership marks a powerful new chapter,” said WSU President Elizabeth Cantwell in a statement. “We’re leading the conference into a future defined by national visibility, competitive excellence, and innovation. This is more than a media deal; it’s a statement of purpose and a springboard to what’s next.”
