3 Rivers Community Foundation

What has been your/your company’s most significant success over the last 12 months?

I am thrilled that 3 Rivers Community Foundation continues to grow and expand our giving year over year and that our Celebration of Philanthropy luncheon each December has become the largest annual gathering of local nonprofits in the Tri-Cities. Recognizing this growth and our commitment to do even more for our community, 3RCF recently added a third staff member to our team.

On which boards do you currently serve? With which nonprofits do you volunteer?

I’m on the board for Columbia Basin Nonprofit Association and recently chaired the organization for two years. I am fortunate that my current role with 3RCF allows me to attend many nonprofit events, fundraisers and community service opportunities. Giving back in many ways is an important part of our family, so I bring my 13-year-old son along as often as possible.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve received?

A mentor taught me to clearly identify my core values and to rely upon them when faced with big decisions or challenges. This was a game changer. They sit on a sticky note on my desk, ready to provide clarity whenever I need them.

Name one thing about yourself you want people to know.

I genuinely love being a connector. Helping people find each other, collaborate and find solutions together comes very naturally to me and is something I truly enjoy.

What is your favorite Tri-Cities restaurant and what do you order there?

I’m a big fan of The Hub because the food trucks offer so many great options and it is a place where the community comes together.

If you had one wish for the Tri-Cities, what would it be?

I’ve lived in this community for almost 15 years, and I’m so grateful that it has become my family’s home. My wish is that we all continue to make it a wonderful place to live, work and play.
