Students from the Pasco School District’s Construction Trades Program recently began framing their Team Pasco House. This will be the 25th home that high school students from Pasco have built from start to finish.

This year’s house is in the new Seven Sisters subdivision at 8413 Ashen Drive. It’s expected to be completed by May 2025.

The trade program is in its 28th year, with many companies and professionals donating their time to help give hands-on training to the students.

This includes Vicki Monteagudo, president and CEO of Century 21 Tri-Cities, who was part of the first group of students to build the first Team Pasco House.

“As a Pasco High School alumni who participated in building the first Team Pasco House, this project holds a very special place in my heart,” she said. “Seeing these students learn these trade skills and hone their craft is incredibly rewarding because they will be our future homebuilders, electricians, inspectors and help shape the future of our community. I look forward to this project every year.”

The real estate firm helps find and secure the land for the homes to be built, as well as lists the homes when they are completed, waiving commission fees.

Proceeds from the sale go toward student scholarships and helping support next year’s home.

“The Construction Trades program provides our students with invaluable, hands-on experience in construction, working directly on a real job site," said Laura Jones, Pasco School District’s career and technical education director, in a statement.
