Graduation season officially kicks off this weekend as Washington State University Tri-Cities celebrates the class of 2025 at the Toyota Center in Kennewick.

More than 300 graduates will walk at the commencement ceremony, which will begin at 1 p.m. May 3. While most will receive bachelor’s degrees in a variety of disciplines, 26 master’s candidates and 18 doctoral candidates will receive their degrees in the sciences and arts.

Michelle Whitney, superintendent of Pasco School District, is this year’s keynote speaker. She earned her degrees through WSU, as well as her principal and superintendent certifications.

Commencement is open to the public and no tickets are required for admission. Doors open at noon.

The Toyota Center’s clear bag policy will be enforced.
