Chris and Craig Eerkes have opened Golf Universe at 825 N. Edison St., Suite 190, Kennewick.

The shop moved from its former Kennewick location at 6311 W. Clearwater Ave. where it had operated for more than 20 years.

Golf Universe, which offers retail golf sales with an emphasis on custom club fitting, held its soft opening in the new building on Jan. 2.

The 5,042-square-foot Golf Universe has three full-size Trackman bays, a new putting studio and a 15-foot static level platform putting surface.

It also features a SAM Putt lab which will allow consumers to be fit to a putter based on their stroke needs and tendencies using almost 70 different parameters.

Club repair also has been revamped and will have the newest state-of-the-art equipment to fix or build golf clubs along with adjusting lie angles or lofts on both irons and putters.
