A new senior living community is now open in the Southridge area of Kennewick.

Riverwalk Estates, at 4704 W. Hildebrand Blvd., is a 135,478-square-foot complex providing rental apartments for independent senior living, offering studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom units. 

The four-story building has 149 apartments.

Amenities include a gym, activity room, library, movie theater and day spa.

Prices start at $2,995 a month, which includes everything except a personal phone.

The project was completed in August.

Hawthorn Construction Group LLC of Salem, Oregon, is the general contractor.

Lenity Architecture Inc. of Salem, Oregon, is the architect.

The company also has senior living communities in Vancouver and Puyallup, plus in numerous states nationwide. This is the first Hawthorn facility in the Tri-Cities.
