Ben Franklin Transit’s new Queensgate Transit Center will allow for expanded service to the public in the immediate vicinity of the Queensgate shopping center, as well as room for future growth and expansion into the Richland, West Richland, Benton City and Prosser areas.

The 660-square-foot center at 691 Windmill Road is just off Interstate 182 near a trifecta of Richland wineries: Bookwalter, Barnard Griffin and Tagaris.

The $6 million project features three public passenger shelters, and a driver comfort station for BFT drivers and employees. The cost includes the land purchase.

The color scheme represents the natural desert tones of the surrounding landscape mixed with BFT’s iconic blue and yellow colors.
