A Friends Corner convenience store and gas station with a drive-thru coffee shop is nearing completion in Kennewick.

Friends Corner is at 111 N. Steptoe St. in Kennewick, next to Kadlec’s primary care clinic on Clearwater Avenue.

The 3,900-square-foot store is scheduled to be completed in early October.

The owners, Sunanda Joshi and Japjot Takhar of OMJSR LLC, describe the shop as a contemporary store with a walk-in cooler featuring a large beer collection, offering more “than any other store in Tri-Cities.”

The convenience store will sell grocery items, pizza, fried food, including pizza pockets, fries, chicken strips, beef and bean crispitos, and more.

LCR Construction of Richland is the general contractor.

V3 Drafting and Design of Kennewick is the designer.
