Golf Universe has completed the first phase of a new retail and pro shop facility at Canyon Lakes in Kennewick.

The approximately 10,000-square-foot building at 3700 W. Canyon Lakes Drive serves as the new pro shop where golfers check in, as well as a full-service golf retail facility.

The project brings together two longtime operations under one roof. Golf Universe had operated independently from Canyon Lakes for more than 20 years before the decision was made to combine the businesses following the purchase of Canyon Lakes.

The facility features golf fitting simulators, including Trackman technology, a putter fitting simulator and an on-site club repair area. The building also includes underground storage for more than 100 new golf carts.

The new setup allows golfers to be custom fit using digital data and then immediately test equipment on the grass driving range, creating what the owners describe as a seamless fitting experience.

The first phase of the project was completed during the last week of December 2025.

LCR Construction of Richland served as the general contractor.

Draftco Designs of Kennewick was the designer.

The building is owned and operated by Columbia Golf Co., which is owned by Chris Eerkes, Craig Eerkes and Scott Mitchell.
