Benton County has completed construction of the Columbia Valley Center for Recovery in Kennewick.

The 56,000-square-foot facility at 216 W. 10th Ave., the former Kennewick General Hospital site, is designed to provide a range of behavioral health services, including mental health care, sobering services, detox and residential substance use treatment.

The single-story building includes four separate units and can accommodate up to 68 individuals across all programs.

Interior design focused on creating a healing environment for patients. The project also included minor exterior improvements.

The total project cost was $40 million, including owner soft costs, and design and construction.

Construction was completed in February 2026.

Bouten Construction of Richland served as the general contractor.

NAC Architecture of Spokane provided architectural services.

The facility was developed by Benton County to expand access to behavioral health and recovery services in the region.
