District officials said Marshall played a significant role in mentoring students and shaping the construction trades program.
During the ceremony, students and staff presented a commemorative plaque to Marshall’s mother, Helen Marshall.
Speakers at the event included Pasco Vocational Buildings Program Board President Vicki Monteagudo, Bouten Construction Vice President Brandon Potts and Career & Technical Education Director Laura Jones.
Construction trades instructor Chris Lambert presented Golden Hammer Awards recognizing student achievement, and students shared testimonials about their experiences in the program.
The event also recognized scholarship recipients supported through the Pasco Vocational Buildings Program Board. Since 1999, the board has awarded more than $290,000 in scholarships to Pasco students pursuing post-secondary education or careers in the skilled trades. This year, the board awarded $16,250 in scholarships.
Following the ceremony, the completed home was open for public tours in an open house hosted by Century 21 Tri-Cities.
Lunch for the event was provided by PARR Lumber, with refreshments provided by Bouten Construction.
The project is the latest completed through the district’s construction program, which has built 26 homes during the past 29 years while providing students with hands-on experience in residential construction and related trades.
District officials said the Team Pasco Homes program continues to help prepare students for careers in the skilled trades while supporting workforce development efforts in the Tri-Cities construction industry.
