Benton County has completed construction of the new McDaniel Arena at the Benton County Event Center & Fairgrounds in Kennewick. The renovated outdoor arena features seating for 6,000 spectators and includes new restrooms, concession areas and upgraded lighting to enhance the experience for visitors and event organizers.

The $12 million project was completed July 1 and will serve as the venue for a variety of outdoor events at the fairgrounds. Rental rates for the arena vary depending on the event.

The renovation is part of Benton County’s long-term investment in the fairgrounds. McDaniel Arena and the Benton County Event Center & Fairgrounds have supported local economic growth and community traditions for more than 75 years, according to the county. The project was funded by Benton County and is intended to keep the facilities safe, modern and accessible for the community.

Fowler General Contractor served as the general contractor. Meier Architecture • Engineering designed the project.

For rental information or general inquiries, contact the Benton County Event Center & Fairgrounds at 509-727-5249.
